Water & Built Environment is an interdisciplinary research group from Brazil that explores the relationships and interactions of water in the built environment, from building to city scale. The group’s mission is to encourage sustainable water planning and management by assessing the impacts of urban water demand, municipal wastewater and stormwater drainage on natural water systems and exploring the benefits promoted by different water conservation strategies, sanitation tecnologies and sustainable drainage systems addressing the multiple dimensions of sustainable development (social, economic, environmental and governance). Overall, the group's lines of action focuses in the following topics: i) Innovative Technologies & Systems; ii) Water Cycle & Spatial Patterns; iii) Planning & Management; and iv) Water & Society.
